The Seven Cities Lagoon has always been a landmark on the island of São Miguel and in the Azores, and was recently recognized as one of the 7 Wonders of Portugal.
The Seven Cities valley is a large natural complex that also includes the Santiago Lagoon, the Canário Lagoon, and the Empadadas Lagoon. It offers numerous possibilities in terms of outdoor activities: hiking, cycling, water sports, horseback riding, jeep and buggy tours, etc. We suggest you consult tourist activity companies to find out about the best options at any given time.
